Missouri HS football playoff predictions
I am not sure how the State High School league determines home field for these next play-off games but you can bet it ISN'T based on my rankings. How can they make a nationally ranked team, like De Smet, travel to Raymore-Peculiar for a game they should win by five touchdowns? It can't be based upon any rankings, can it?
There are other highly favored teams on the road this Friday and Saturday also, so I have fudged the spreads by including a three point home field advantage. A couple of games may be decided by the home field but the heavy favorites shouldn't be bothered much by traveling.
I have predicted 223 out of 275 district games so far for a 82% accuracy. This week's 22 games will be a lot closer so if I can stay above 65% for this week, I think I will be doing great.
And, as much as I would like to pick my hometown favorite, Eureka, in their game with Jackson, I have to stay true to what the algorithm tells me.
