Missouri State Football Class 6 playoff brackets and predictions
I Have attached a first round chart of the four Class 6 Missouri State High School football districts with my rankings and the MSHSAA ratings.
In district 1, CBC is head of the class for both ratings. In fact, CBC should walk away with another state title. They are a legitimate top 25 nationally ranked team and I don't think they will have an opponent that comes with two touchdowns of them. They should knock off a down-year SLUH team by 55, beat Hazelwood West by 5 touchdowns, and route De Smet by two touchdowns in Districts. They should beat Rockhurst by 3 touchdowns in the semi-final and beat Rockhurst or Eureka in the final by 20 points.
In district 2, Rockbridge should trounce Francis Howell Central by 54 points, then get by a tough Francis Howell team by 5 before an easy win over Blue Springs in the District final.
In district 3, Eureka is the hands-on favorite with a 49 point advantage over Ozark, then play a tough Kirkwood and scrappy Lindbergh team in rematches. Kirkwood was tough at home against Eureka but should be a two touchdown underdog at Eureka's home field.
In district 4, the state ratings don't match up well with my ratings. According to the state ratings, Lee's Summit West should be playing Eureka in a state semi-final game with Eureka favored by a single point, but my money goes on Rockhurst to win that tough district and play Eureka for the chance to face heavy favorite CBC in the final. If you put Lee's Summit West, Rockhurst, Liberty and Lee's Summit North's names in a hat and drew one card out, you would probably have a good chance to pick the district winner as anything. This district is a toss-up for the top four ranked teams.
