Missouri state class 6 football district pairings

You can get all of the MSHSAA football pairings and point ratings at the State high school website but here's a summary of how the eleven man Missouri class 6 state high school football teams match up by district.  I have calculated the average state rank and strength rating for each district and list those above each district team listing.  Obviously, the team to beat is CBC in district 1, which is also the most competitive.  Look for Rockhurst to give CBC a good game Friday but don't be surprised if CBC wins by 15 to 20 points.  District 1 is also the most competitive district with an average team rating of 100 on my algorithm vs. 34.4 for the state point rating.

I assume that the teams will match up in the first round of each district by seed.

In district 2, I have Rock Bridge as the top rated team but the State league has them third in the seeding right now.  I expect Rock Bridge and Francis Howell to be in that final, depending on seeding.  District 2 is not as competitive with average team rating of 93.5 on my algorithm vs. 31.4 for the state point rating.

In district 3, Eureka is the cream of the crop and the district appears to be the weakest with an average team rating of 88 on my algorithm vs. 31.1 for the state point rating.  You should expect a close rematch with Kirkwood who led Eureka with less than five minutes left in the game last week but, with miscues in the final minutes, lost by 14, not an indication of how close these teams are.

In district 4, Rockhurst leads the district with Liberty KC and Lee's Summit North close behind.  This district is equally competitive to district 1, according to the state points ratings, but I see them as slightly stronger than district 1, with an average team rating of 107 on my algorithm vs. 34.4 for the state point rating.  The state also rates Lee's Summit West and Park Hill above Liberty and North, so I expect it to have a lot of close district play-off games.
